Dear Dr. Chogjin,
I"m delighted to offer my congratulations to IEL on its thirtieth anniversary. It has been an important center of scholarship on all aspects of minority life in China, including but not restricted to literature and folklore. I"ve gained much from my collaboration with members of your Institute, and offer my sincere best wishes for another 30 years of fruitful scholarship and scholarly exchange.
